Hi, I’m Matt. I’m a registered social worker and psychotherapist with a Master of Social Work and over a decade of experience supporting people through complex life challenges. I offer therapy grounded in empathy, lived experience, and a belief in your ability to grow, heal, and reconnect with who you are.
I know how difficult it can be to reach out—especially when you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or not at your best. Whether you’re navigating trauma, ADHD, relationship stress, identity challenges, or occupational burnout, I’m here to offer support that feels real, safe, and centred on your goals.
My background spans law enforcement, military service, education, and mental health systems. This wide-ranging experience has shaped how I show up in the therapy room: grounded, non-judgmental, and attuned to how systems affect individuals. I work with people from all walks of life—first responders, students, members of the LGBTQ+ community, families, and folks who’ve felt misunderstood in traditional spaces.
I also bring my own lived experiences with ADHD, trauma, family violence, and operational stress. That personal lens helps me understand how hard it can be to open up to someone who hasn’t walked similar paths. My goal is to make therapy a space where you feel heard—not just clinically, but human-to-human.
In our work together, I use an eclectic, strengths-based approach tailored to your needs. This often includes cognitive-behavioural therapy, mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy, and other trauma-informed strategies. I won’t rush you. You set the pace, and together we shape a process that honours your autonomy, values, and vision for change.
Outside of therapy, I’m most at home in the outdoors—camping, hiking, or just reconnecting with what’s real. I believe strongly in the importance of self-care, and I work to model that same compassion and balance I hope to foster in others.
If you’re looking for someone to walk alongside you—without pressure, without judgement—I’d be honoured to support you on your journey.
