I’m Sheila, a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist.
I understand that life brings challenges, and that reaching out for support can feel like one of the hardest steps to take. With over 20 years of experience, I have supported individuals, couples, and families in a variety of settings, including long-term care, palliative care, mental health, and working with survivors of trauma. These experiences have shaped the steady, compassionate way I show up in my work today.
I work with adults (18+) and couples navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, caregiver burnout, and related concerns. Whether you are seeking support for yourself or for your relationship, my goal is to offer a non-judgmental, respectful space where you feel safe to share openly and honestly.
Who I Work With
I enjoy working with adults and seniors. I have worked a lot with people who have lived through trauma(s) as well as the geriatric population and their caregivers.
I also provide mental health assessments for refugee claimants to support Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) hearings, appeals, humanitarian and compassionate applications, and stay of deportation requests.
My Approach
During difficult seasons, our strengths can feel distant or forgotten. Part of my role is to help you reconnect with those strengths, develop tools to manage challenges, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence — both individually and within your relationships.
If you’re considering taking that next step, I welcome you to reach out.
